Whenever a user prints to the Citrix Universal Printer, the client automatically prints from the default device as configured in Windows, although admins can change the printer to connect with any client device. To use the universal printers, you first must install the Citrix Universal Printer driver.
Step 1
Click 'Start | Control Panel | Hardware and Sound | Devices and Printers.'
Step 2
Select 'Print Server Properties' from the toolbar. Click 'Drivers,' then click 'Add' to launch the Add Printer Driver wizard.
Step 3
Click 'Next' to reach the Printer Driver Selection screen. Select 'Citrix' as the manufacturer and 'Citrix Universal Printer' or 'Citrix XPS Universal Printer' as the model.
Step 4
Click 'Next.' Follow the remaining on-screen directions to complete the wizard.

Click 'Start | All Programs | Citrix | Administration Tools | XenApp Advanced Configuration' or 'Start | All Programs | Citrix | MetaFrame Presentation Server | Presentation Server Console.'

Select 'Policies' from the left pane. Right-click on your policy.

Select 'Properties' from the Actions pane. Expand 'Printing' and then 'Drivers.'

Select 'Universal Driver' and choose 'Enabled.' Select 'Use Universal Driver Only' or 'Use Universal Driver Only If Requested Driver Is Unavailable' from the drop-down menu.
